North Sardinia and South Corsica 1 with the Atlantis

Discover the beautiful island of Corsica with Tall Ship Atlantis!

The island of Corsica is ideally suited to discover by ship. Our Corsica trip with barkentine Atlantis starts in Olbia, on the northeastern coast of Sardinia. It's easy to book cheap and direct air travel to Olbia.

The Atlantis will sail a northerly course along the famous coastline 'Costa Smeralda'. This coastline owes its name to the emerald coloured sea water. The Magdalena Archipelago is located in the 'Strait of Bonifacio'. This archipelago consists of 62 (mountain) islands, 7 of which are larger islands. At this point in the voyage, the captain will decide which route is most favorable in terms of wind to experience the most beautiful sailing days

In the south of Corsica Bonifacio is situated in a beautiful bay with heavily eroded cliffs. Entering this fjord-like cove between the high chalk cliffs is truly breathtaking. Bonifacio is one of the most spectacular places on the island of Corsica. The upper town is located on a 70m high plateau and is a true maze with narrow streets and picturesque alleys.

The Corsican west coast has one of the most varied and spectacular coastlines of the entire Mediterranean. Towering rock formation are interspersed with lovely bays, cozy fishing villages, challenging mountain villages and of course white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. You will experience all of this when we anchor at a beautiful anchorage, for example around Calvi, Ajaccio and Propriana or when we moor in the harbor of a picturesque town.

Ajaccio in Corsica with its 2,700 hours of sun a year is the French record holder of sunny weather and the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. The city lies between mountains and a lake in the largest bay of the island. Perhaps the Atlantis also heads for Iles Lavezzi, where the water is the color of a Lagoon and is a true paradise for swimming!

The price includes accommodation in twin cabins with shower and toilet. Towels and bed linen are provided and all additional shipping costs and port fees are paid for. The full board consists of a breakfast buffet, a lunch buffet, an afternoon coffee break and dinner. In addition to the afternoon coffee break, coffee and tea are freely available all day.

Transfer costs and drinks (other than coffee and tea)

Recommendations for your trip:
Sporty casual clothing (suitable for wind, weather and rain), possibly a bathing suit. We recommend using soft travelbags, instead of hard case cases, as they are not suitable for stowing in the cabins. Remember to take your passport/ identity card and cash to settle your onboard account at the end of the trip. Card payment is not provided for.
