Once again the Atlantis will be sailing to the sunny South! This trip covers a lot of sea miles and is all about sailing! We have a goal and we know when we need to achieve it, so we'll also be sailing throughout the night to cover as many miles as possible in a day. Preferably under sail, as it not only more sustainable and economical, but also the ultimate way to enjoy this adventure on a tallship! A milemaker trip is often planned with some leeway to allow for bad weather, however if the weather gods are well intentioned we might be able to use the time gained through the favourable winds to get you ashore for an excursion or a stopover.
We'll start by navigating the Kiel Canal. A beautiful waterway, with rolling green hills on either side and lots of big ships to look at on the way. Once we've cleared the lock at Brunsbüttel, we'll be on the fast flowing Elbe, which will take us to the North Sea and after we cleared the coast of Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium we'll sail through the English Channel on our way to Cascais.
Be mesmerized by the stars at night, as you'll be able to find constellations that you'll hardly ever see on land and most likely have only ever seen on a picture before. You can even join the crew on the night watch, if you'd like to have an even more special experience or join them during the day helping with the sailing of the boat. We can't promise you anything in regards to the weather, but we can promise you that we will have a fantastic trip with wonderful food and great service. Enjoy sailing and pure nature with us on board the Atlantis.

Recommendations for your trip:
Sporty casual clothing (suitable for wind, weather and rain), possibly a bathing suit. We recommend using soft travelbags, instead of hard case cases, as they are not suitable for stowing in the cabins. Remember to take your passport/ identity card and cash to settle your onboard account at the end of the trip. Card payment is not provided for.
