 MORE INFORMATION ON THE ARTEMIS

After a nice cozy first night on board of the Artemis you will hear the following morning: "All hands on deck to cast off." After a short briefing on deck the sails are set and we will be on our way to Bornholm. We try to reach Bornholm during these trips, but we may have to deviate from this plan if the wind does not permit sailing. We could get there using our engine, but that is of course not the idea of ??a sailing holiday aboard the Artemis.

The island of Bornholm is the easternmost island of Denmark. Thanks to its location, the island of Bornholm has a lot of sunshine hours. The mild climate even allows figs to grow. It is often said that Bornholm showcases all of Denmark in a nutshell - it is hilly, green with fertile farmland and beautiful forests. Bornholm however is the only place in Denmark that has really dramatic rocks. It also has endless wide white sandy beaches on the south coast. The sand is so fine and white that it used to be used for hourglasses.

One thing is certain! We'll have action packed days sailing and relax with every opportunity to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere, with in the evening a glass of wine or beer on deck or in the salon. Because we want to travel a fairly long distance, we might also sail through the night at times. Once we reach Rostock it is time to say goodbye to new and old friends and to disembark with a suitcase full of beautiful memories.
