A ship is as good as its crew
„A ship is only as good as its crew“ is an old sailors’ saying. This is quite true as, on board, we can’t just rely on the ship’s technology.
So it is not surprising that you will find professional seafarers on our tall ships, who combine good seamanship with excellent communication skills.
Nautical crew
While deck hands and boatswain carry out their old craft while engaging the guests, the first mate is responsible for the planning of the trip and the safety on board.
Finally the captain runs the ship and its crew and of course he is the host as well. He has ample experience and guarantees the right mix of adventure, relaxation and safety for each trip.
Cook
Traditionally the cook is the most important person on board. Our chef creates wonderful buffets for more than 100 people; he knows how to make a meal even if the seas are rough or he will prepare a barbecue on the beach. He has to be experienced and flexible!
Service crew
An experienced chief sterwardess guarantees our guests perfect service. With her experience and organisational talents she turns your journey into a real holiday; from the well cared for cabin to the purchase of fresh provisions, to lending an ear to the needs of our guests, she makes sure the journey goes smoothly and the atmosphere on board is welcoming. She is helped by max. four assistants.
